In the beginning: Love, Talk, Play

lovetalkplayParents often wonder what a baby is learning in those early years. Research now tells us that a baby’s brain develops more quickly in the first 3 years of life than at any other time. This early learning sets the stage for future success in school and in life. The kids who are most successful are the ones who have parents actively engaged with them.

What does that mean? It means playing, singing, and talking. It means making every day experiences learning times for your child.  You do that by paying attention to your child’s subtle (and not so subtle) cues. In short, “Love. Talk. Play.” Thrive By Five Washington has put together some information by that name to help you with just those things. Check out this information at lovetalkplay.org.
